Jay Schulz had the small of blood against the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon as he proceeded to boot eight goals at the Adelaide Oval.

It equalled the record set by the club's all-time AFL leading goalkicker Warren Tredrea in 1998.

That performance had been a long time coming, after kick seven-goal hauls on four occasions during his time with the club.

In the process of setting his record, he eclipsed Peter Burgoyne's career tally to sit fourth on the club's all-time leading goalkicker list, behind Tredrea, Stuart Dew and Brett Ebert.
