Port Adelaide is pleased to announce the signing of exciting young winger Coby Morgan to its AFLW list.
Morgan joins the club as an injury replacement player, filling the spot made available after Caitlin Wendland was moved to the inactive list following a season-ending knee injury.
At just 18 years of age, Morgan has already spent time around the club as a train-on player while also impressing at SANFLW level with Norwood.
Port Adelaide List Manager Naomi Maidment said Morgan had taken her game to a new level this year and thoroughly earned her opportunity.
“Coby was a consistent performer during the 2024 Under 18 Championships and was unlucky to miss out on an AFLW opportunity initially,” Maidment said.
"Her athleticism and running capacity are impressive, and she’ll add valuable speed and drive on the wing.
“Coby has really developed her game this year, averaging nine disposals at 85 per cent efficiency for Norwood, and she’s continued to grow through her involvement in our AFLW program as a train-on player.
“She’s worked hard and absolutely deserves her shot at the AFLW level.”
Port Adelaide will host Adelaide in its first pre-season hit out this Saturday, July 26 at 11am at Alberton Oval. Entry is free.
