Port Adelaide midfielder Jason Horne-Francis has been voted into the AFL Players’ Association 22Under22 final team.

It’s the second time Horne-Francis has been named in the final 22 and his third time in the 40-player squad.

Horne-Francis was voted in despite playing only 15 games this season, before a fractured foot ended his year after Round 18.

The 22-year-old averaged almost 21 disposals, 4.6 inside-50s and 4.6 clearances per game in just his fourth year in the AFL system.

He is the only Power player to make the side this year.

The 22Under22 recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season (including grand final day), who have played at least 50 per cent of home-and-away matches.

The 40-player squad is chosen by chair of selectors, Leigh Montagna and an AFLPA internal selection panel, with support from Champion Data, while the final 22 is voted by fans.
