Port Adelaide has announced an extended squad for Sunday’s clash with the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos, with two players set to pull on the black, white, and teal for the first time.

Lily Paterson and Chloe Gaunt will make their debut at Arden Street, after being taken at picks 19 and 48 respectively in the 2024 AFLW draft, joining Jasmine Sowden on the Power’s list of debutants.

At 182cm, Gaunt is a tall forward who developed her game through the Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions academies and has been named in the forward line for the Round 2 clash.

While Paterson, a crafty midfielder known for her clean hands and impressive game sense, has been named on the Power’s extended bench, which includes fellow potential debutants Coby Morgan, Tiffany King and Asha Dufour.

King and Dufour have been training with the side and have been included in the extended squad under the AFL’s top up player protocol, which is implemented when a team’s list falls below the mandatory 23 available players.

They’ll line-up alongside Ebony O’Dea, Maria Moloney, Kirsty Lamb, Jaz Stewart. This group of eight on the bench will be trimmed to five when final Sunday teams are confirmed on Friday afternoon at 4:30pm ACST.

Port Adelaide will face North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos at Arden Street from 12:35pm ACST.
