Yartapuulti has announced an extended squad for Sunday’s clash with Waalitj Marawar in Perth, with defender Cheyenne Hammond named for a highly anticipated return from injury.

The crafty 27-year-old has overcome a pre-season foot injury and been listed on the squad’s extended interchange bench. If selected in the final team, her outside speed and versatility will be a valued addition to Yartapuulti’s side.

Fresh off a standout Round 3 performance that included four goals and 15 disposals, proud Yindjibarndi woman Gemma Houghton will again lead the forward line in her hometown of Perth, joined by Indy Tahau, who impressed with three majors in last week’s win over the SUNS.

The extended bench also features potential debutants Coby Morgan and Jasmine Evans, alongside Ebony O’Dea, Ella Heads, Katelyn Pope, Lily Paterson, Jaz Stewart, and Hammond. The group of eight will be trimmed to five when final Sunday teams are confirmed on Friday afternoon at 4:30pm ACST.

The team will once again proudly wear a guernsey designed by past player Gavin Wanganeen, featuring a striking hand-painted artwork inspired by First Nations people’s connection to the Milky Way.

The Power will face the Eagles from 3:05pm AWST (4:35pm ACST) on Sunday, with the match broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo, and Binge from 3pm ACST.
