Day four and our last day visiting the communities – I can't believe how quickly this trip has gone.

We were up early today, hitting the road by 7:15am after packing up our base at Umuwa for the final time. It felt pretty sad leaving that place behind – it's been our home away from home for the past few days.

The short 20-minute drive to Ernabella took us to a community BBQ breakfast at 7:30am, which was such a nice way to start the day. There's something special about sharing a meal with the local community – it really makes you feel welcomed and part of something bigger.

At 9.00am we were back on that same dirt footy oval from yesterday for another clinic with students from all over the APY Lands. Despite their late night at the Ernabella Dance Festival last night, these kids had lost absolutely none of their energy and enthusiasm. It was incredible to see. Jase, Josh and I ran a 90-minute clinic with students from all the APY Lands schools, and it was so much fun seeing all these familiar faces again from the communities we'd visited earlier in the week.

Then it was time for the big drive – 170km and two hours to Indulkana. When we arrived just before 1.00pm, you could feel the excitement in the air. The students were still absolutely buzzing from winning the Ernabella Dance Festival the night before, and rightfully so.

At 1.00pm we delivered our workshop and football clinic to the Indulkana students, and the teachers told us something that really hit me. They said the locals had lined up along the streets with signs congratulating the students as they returned by bus that morning. That's community spirit right there. It's pretty powerful stuff and it's something I've seen in every single community we've visited this week.

After finishing up at Indulkana, it was time to hit the road for our massive 480km journey back to where it all started – Uluru. That's a long drive but it gave us plenty of time to reflect on everything we'd experienced over the past few days.

We arrived at our hotel in Uluru around 7pm and had a nice team meal together, talking through another amazing day. It's been so good having this time with Jase, Josh and the whole team, sharing these experiences together.

Tomorrow is our last day before heading home, and I'm excited because we get to go on a guided Mala Walk around the base of Uluru. After seeing it from a distance when we first arrived, I can't wait to experience it up close and learn more about its cultural significance.

What a journey this has been.
