The Port Adelaide Football Club is proud to announce Your Nursing Agency (YNA) as the new major partner of the Multicultural Power Cup, with the South Australian-founded healthcare workforce provider committing to a three-year partnership.
The partnership comes as the Multicultural Power Cup celebrates its 10th year, marking a decade of creating opportunities for connection and social cohesion for young people from culturally diverse backgrounds, through education and exposure to the game of AFL football.
Delivered by Port Adelaide’s not-for-profit Power Community Limited, the Multicultural Power Cup celebrates cultural diversity and expression, promotes inclusion and builds social cohesion by recognising the positive contribution of different cultures within Australia.
Offered to secondary school students from culturally diverse backgrounds across South Australia, the program combines classroom learning with football, culture, leadership and career development.
It culminates in an annual carnival where students represent their school in a 9-a-side AFL competition, while also taking part in an interactive careers expo designed to promote meaningful education and employment pathways.
Since launching in 2017, the program has engaged more than 3,500 students from across South Australia.
Power Community Limited General Manager Jake Battifuoco said YNA's commitment would ensure the program continued to make a meaningful impact for years to come.
"The YNA Multicultural Power Cup is about creating opportunities, building confidence and fostering a genuine sense of belonging for young people from culturally diverse backgrounds," Mr Battifuoco said.
"As we celebrate the program's 10th year, we're incredibly proud of the impact it has had on thousands of students and their families, helping them build connections through football, education and shared experiences.
"We're thrilled to welcome YNA as our major partner. Their three-year commitment provides certainty for the future of the program and demonstrates a shared belief in the importance of inclusion, diversity and creating pathways for young people to thrive."
YNA Executive General Manager Peter Forbes said the organisation was proud to support a program that aligned closely with its values.
"As a South Australian founded and headquartered company, YNA is incredibly proud to support this community initiative of the Port Adelaide Football Club," Mr Forbes said.
"YNA has been providing healthcare staff to hospitals, residential aged care centres, schools and other primary health settings for more than five decades. We employ thousands of healthcare workers nationally, many of whom come from non-English-speaking backgrounds.
"We value the rich, multicultural diversity they bring to our organisational culture and encourage people of all backgrounds to apply to work with YNA in delivering important healthcare services to our clients.

The 2026 Multicultural Power Cup carnival was held on Friday at Alberton Oval and brought together hundreds of students to celebrate a decade of cultural diversity, inclusion and community through football.
