Port Adelaide welcomes Will Brodie to the club after completing a trade with Fremantle on day eight of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.

The Power has given Fremantle pick 103 in exchange for the midfielder.

Brodie was taken by Gold Coast from the Murray Bushrangers at pick nine in the 2016 national draft, before making the move to the Dockers during the 2021 trade period.

Playing 54 games at AFL level across his two clubs, the 27-year-old was also an integral part of the Peel Thunder’s WAFL premiership win in 2024.

Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps was pleased to welcome Brodie to the club.

“As a big-bodied midfielder, Will is strong in the contest and will add important depth to our midfield group,” Cripps said.

“Will had his best AFL season in 2022 playing 24 games under Josh Carr as his midfield coach and had the ninth most clearances in the competition.

“We look forward to him making the most of his opportunity as a Port Adelaide player.”

Brodie is the third player to join Port Adelaide during the player movement period, joining GWS winger Jacob Wehr and Carlton forward Corey Durdin.
