Port Adelaide’s Lauren Young will miss the remainder of the home and away season, with the young forward set to undergo a routine knee procedure.
After returning from an ACL rupture earlier this year, Young has been managing knee soreness that will require minor surgery. Her return-to-play timeline will be confirmed in the coming days.
Kirsty Lamb will also miss Friday night’s Showdown as she continues to manage calf soreness sustained during training.
Julia Teakle continues to progress in her recovery and is now eyeing possible selection in Round 12.
Port Adelaide will face Adelaide in Showdown IV under lights on Friday night at Norwood Oval. AFLW members can access general admission tickets via the club app.
