Port Adelaide ruckman Ivan Soldo has been ruled out for the 2026 season after rupturing his right anterior cruciate ligament.

The 29-year-old sustained the injury during a training drill on Monday.

“It’s such unfortunate news for Ivan,” head of medical services Tim O’Leary said.

“He is such a professional and hardworking athlete, so we are really disappointed for him, and we will support him to get through this next stage.

“Ivan sustained the same injury in his left knee in 2020, so he certainly knows what it takes to attack his rehab and return to the top level.”

Soldo will consult a surgeon in the coming days.
