A DOMINANT display from Riley Thilthorpe propelled Adelaide to a 19-point match simulation win over Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval on Friday evening.
Thilthorpe also spent part of the game playing in the midfield, rather than his usual position in the forward line.
The Crows were in control from the jump with plenty of avenues towards goal, but a young Power side lifted late, outscoring the visitors by a goal in the second half.
Veteran Taylor Walker also impressed in front of the sticks, while plenty of other Crows flexed their muscles.
Second-year forward Jack Whitlock was a bright spot for the Power, with his marking ability on full display, and a nice goal in the third.
Willem Drew stood up for his side, particularly in the absence of Zak Butters (managed), with the Port Adelaide vice-captain getting plenty of clearances and moving the ball inside 50.
For the Crows, Josh Rachele spent plenty of time in the midfield while captain Jordan Dawson moved forward to great effect.
Rookie-listed Crow Lachlan McAndrew impressed in the ruck before getting injured, while for the Power, Jase Burgoyne's pace and skill were on full display, with the son-of-a-gun taking multiple intercept marks down back.
Jason Horne-Francis was withdrawn from the second half of the match with a foot concern, with Port Adelaide taking a cautious approach with their young star, while Mitch Georgiades (managed) and Ollie Wines (suspended in rounds 1 and 2) both missed the main event.
