TRAVIS BOAK was the only Port player to poll AFLCA Champion Player award votes in Saturday's loss to GWS.

Ken Hinkley and Leon Cameron lauded the effort of Giant Tom Scully and also Jonathon Patton for their dominance in the game - particularly the final quarter.

It was the first time Ollie Wines failed to poll votes from the coaches this year, though he still leads the overall race on 24.

Dustin Martin and Rory Sloane are just adrift in second place on 23 votes.
