Port Adelaide will begin its 2026 AFLW campaign with a Round 1 clash against Fremantle in Perth, before returning home to Alberton Oval for a Sunday afternoon meeting with Hawthorn in Round 2.

The AFL on Thursday released the 2026 NAB AFLW fixture, which for Port Adelaide includes six home games at Alberton, highlighted by two blockbuster clashes under lights.

The Power will host Hawthorn, Gold Coast, Sydney, Adelaide, West Coast and Collingwood at Alberton across the season, with four matches scheduled in family friendly weekend timeslots.

A highly anticipated Saturday night Showdown against Adelaide in Round 8 at Alberton Oval is set to headline the club’s fixture, while a Friday night meeting with Collingwood in Round 11 shapes as another marquee matchup late in the season.

Port Adelaide will also feature during AFL Grand Final weekend, travelling to Victoria to face the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval on Friday, September 25.

Indigenous Round will again be celebrated across Rounds 3 and 4, while Pride Round will take place during Rounds 9 and 10.

The 2026 season continues the 12-game home and away format, followed by a four-week finals series.

Port Adelaide’s Head of AFLW, Dan Merrett, said the fixture provided a strong balance of marquee matchups and accessible timeslots for members and supporters.

“To have six games at Alberton, including two night games against Adelaide and Collingwood, gives our fans plenty to look forward to.

“Our supporters consistently create an incredible atmosphere at Alberton, and we know our players love running out in front of a passionate home crowd.

“We’re also pleased to again have a number of daytime and twilight matches that are accessible for families and younger fans.

“The Showdown at Alberton in Round 8 will be a fantastic occasion, and we’re looking forward to seeing our people pack the ground across the season.

“Our facilities at Alberton will be complete for the 2026 season, with fantastic new grandstands on the eastern side of the precinct helping create an even better family-friendly venue that complements our fixture.”
