Port Adelaide co-vice-captain Sachi Syme has been ruled out of the 2026 NAB AFLW season opener with a hamstring injury.
The defender sustained the injury during the final match simulation of the pre-season, with scans confirming a minor strain.
Piper Window will be a test ahead of Round 1 after sustaining a minor foot injury in the final hit-out, while Ellie Hampson continues to progress well through her rehabilitation from a hip injury.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Wendland has been moved to the inactive list as she continues her recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture sustained during the 2025 pre-season.
Wendland has made strong progress throughout her rehabilitation but will now focus solely on her recovery through an intensive training block, with her return to full health the priority.
Port Adelaide will open its 2026 NAB AFLW campaign against Fremantle in Perth on Sunday, 16 August, with the first bounce at 2:05pm ACST.
