Port Adelaide has named an unchanged side for Sunday’s 2026 NAB AFLW home opener against Hawthorn at Alberton Oval.

The Power will take the same 21 players into the clash that claimed a 21-point victory over Fremantle in Perth last weekend, with Piper Window, Grace Parsons and Julia Teakle omitted from the extended squad’s interchange bench.

Defender Teagan Germech will again line up in the backline after a dominant Round 1 performance, where she collected a club-record 16 intercept possessions.

Olivia Crane and Sophie Eaton have retained their spots after making their AFLW debuts in Perth, while Emily Elkington also holds her place following an impressive first game in Port Adelaide colours, which included her first AFLW goal.

Abbey Dowrick’s 23-disposal performance against the Dockers has earned her another spot in the midfield, where her dominant clearance work is quickly becoming a hallmark of her game. She will line up alongside Eaton, Ella Boag, Ash Woodland, Kirsty Lamb and star ruck Matilda Scholz.

After each hitting the scoreboard last week, Katelyn Pope, Indy Tahau and Lauren Young have again been named up forward for the clash under lights, where they will be joined by stalwart Gemma Houghton and captain Justine Mules-Robinson.

The Power last faced Hawthorn in Round 10 of the 2025 season, claiming a 35-point victory.

Sunday’s clash will mark Port Adelaide’s first home game of the 2026 season and the first time the AFLW side will run out of its new race following the completion of the club’s state-of-the-art facilities.

There will also be plenty happening around the ground for fans of all ages, including free entertainment and activities in the Precious Cargo Kids Zone.

Kids under 14 receive free entry, while those who wear their pyjamas to the game can also collect a free hot chocolate.
