AFL players Sam Powell-Pepper, Willem Drew and Todd Marshall have been awarded Port Adelaide life membership, along with former Board Director Jamie Restas. 

The quartet were bestowed the honour at Tuesday evening’s John Cahill Medal presentation night at the Adelaide Convention Centre.  

The three players qualified for life membership after being on the club’s AFL list for 10 years, while Restas was recognised for a decade of continuous service to the Port Adelaide Football Club Board. 

Powell-Pepper, Drew and Marshall were drafted together in 2016, with Powell-Pepper and Marshall making their AFL debuts in 2017, while Drew first appeared at AFL level in 2019.

Powell-Pepper has gone on to play 158 games, but the 28-year-old’s last two seasons have been impacted by two ACL injuries. When he’s fit, the powerful forward is a force on field, leading with his pressure, intensity and hunger for the ball. 

He spent two seasons in the leadership group, speaking to the respect and admiration he’s earned from his teammates and coaches alike. 

Drew is a true Port Adelaide person, and continues to be a popular figure among his teammates, serving as co-vice captain in 2026 and becoming stand-in skipper for five games at the end of the season. 

His hardworking nature and team-first approach earned him four consecutive Fos Williams Medals for best team man, while his consistency on field saw him achieve a consecutive game streak of more than 140. 

Marshall has played 131 games for Port Adelaide, mainly as a key forward, however the 28-year-old did spend some time in the backline earlier this year. 

He was the club’s leading goal-kicker in 2022, with an incredible ratio of 45 goals and 15 behinds from his 21 games.

Restas was on the Port Adelaide Board from 2012 until 2025, named deputy chair for his final four years of service.  

He was involved in multiple key club moments over his tenure, including taking AFL football to China, several evolutions of the Alberton Oval redevelopment and the Power’s entry into the AFLW. 

Restas has also served as chair of the Governance and Integrity Committee, and on the Board of the club’s charity arm, Power Community Limited.
