Grace Parsons will make her AFLW debut when Yartapuulti takes on the Gold Coast Suns at Alberton Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Parsons joined the club ahead of the 2026 season as an injury replacement player, having relocated from Sydney to Adelaide to pursue her football dream.
The 180cm forward-ruck progressed through the Sydney Swans Academy before making the move to South Australia, where her athleticism, competitiveness and ability to impact contests have quickly made an impression.
A mobile tall capable of playing both forward and in the ruck, Parsons has impressed with her ability to impact contests in the air and hit the scoreboard to earn her opportunity at AFLW level.
She has been named in the forward line alongside Round 3 Rising Star nominee Lauren Young, captain Justine Mules-Robinson, Katelyn Pope and Ash Woodland.
There are four changes to the side for Saturday’s clash, with Parsons, Julia Teakle, Kirsty Lamb and Sophie Eaton all coming into the team.
Teakle is set to play her first game of the 2026 season after working hard on her craft throughout the year, with the forward named on the interchange.
Lamb returns after being managed in Round 3, while Eaton has also been recalled to the side.
Emily Elkington and Olivia Crane have both been managed this week, while Indy Tahau is unavailable after scans confirmed a season-ending knee injury.
Ella Boag also comes out of the side after pulling up sore during the team’s final main training session of the week, with her return to play timeline to be determined in the coming days.
Yartapuulti will host the Suns at Alberton Oval from 2:05pm ACST on Saturday, 5 September. Tickets are on sale, with children under the age of 14 free.
