Port Adelaide has made one change ahead of its AFL Grand Final eve clash against the Western Bulldogs at Mission Whitten Oval on Friday. 

Ellie Hampson will make her club debut, with the forward returning from the hip injury that sidelined her for the opening half of the season. 

The 25-year-old arrived at Alberton ahead of the 2026 season after making the move from the Brisbane Lions, where she etched her name into Grand Final folklore with two pivotal goals in the Lions’ 2023 premiership triumph. 

With more than 50 AFLW games under her belt, Hampson will bring valuable experience to the side, named on the interchange alongside Ebony O’Dea, Maria Moloney, Gemma Houghton and Emily Elkington. 

Fresh off making her club debut last week, Lucy Boyd will line up for her second game in Port Adelaide colours, named in the backline, while Grace Parsons comes out of the side through injury.  

Following a career-best 27-disposal performance in her 50th game, which earned her eight coaches’ votes, Abbey Dowrick will again line up in the midfield alongside Shineah Goody, Sophie Eaton, Matilda Scholz, Ash Woodland and Kirsty Lamb. 

Port Adelaide last faced the Western Bulldogs in Round 8 of the 2025 season, recording a 19-point victory at Alberton.
