Robbie Gray on selection this weekend:

“After a loss - we’ve had a few in a row now.

“There are going to be some changes, so that will probably be the case when the teams are announced later today.

Robbie Gray on Todd Marshall:

“At the moment, Toddy isn’t going to be a massive number guy.

“He does a lot of little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet. He’s extremely clever.

“The thing we forget about Toddy is he is only 20 years old. He’s been through a fair bit the last couple of years, and those younger bigger blokes tend to take more time (to develop).

“If he plays this week, I will be super excited for him, and I’m sure we will see some special things.

Robbie Gray on Port’s ball movement this season:

“We are continually working at our ball movement.

“it’s been like that for a little while now. We are trying to work really hard at it.

“Last week, I thought we moved the ball better at times - there were some passages of play where we moved it really well.

“It was the last little bit, finishing off in front of goal - we kicked 7.13. We felt like we did a lot of things right in that game, but it’s always a work in progress.

Robbie Gray on media noise this week:

“All we focus on is week to week trying to get a good result.

“Focus on what we can control, and that is training and our preparation for each week. I know that’s pretty boring (response to the question) but that’s what we are paid to do.

“We are paid to play footy and get the job done, so we are continually trying to work as hard as we can on that, and try to find ways to get better and improve as a footy team.

“We have lost a couple on the trot now. We find ourselves a game out of the eight, so we go over against Essendon this week and hopefully put in a really strong performance.

Robbie Gray this inconsistent form of the team this season:

“We have been very much up and down this season and in the last few weeks we have dropped away a bit as well.

“We feel like our best footy is good enough but we probably aren’t seeing it often enough, and Port Adelaide people are used to success.

“We are working really hard to turn our form around. We’ve blooded some young guys, and I think we’ve seen some good things from that point of view.

“We haven’t got the results we’ve wanted, but hopefully we can still finish off the year really strongly because we are still aiming to make finals.

Robbie Gray on the Bombers:

“They are a super-fast footy side.

“The last couple of times we’ve played them, they have moved the ball pretty fast against us, particularly from half-back.

“We think we know what happened in those games and how we are going to prepare to stop that. A bit will come down to how we set up and a bit will come down to how we move the ball and how we defend.”
