PORT ADELAIDE has made one change for its clash with reigning premiers Richmond on Friday night at Adelaide Oval.

Jasper Pittard has been named to play just his second game of the season for the Power, after a good run of form in the SANFL.

Pittard will replace Jack Hombsch (omitted) in the side - the only change to the team that lost to Hawthorn by three points in Launceston.

Ken Hinkley was keen to include the rebounding defender, and the likely make-up of the Tigers’ side meant a tall would miss out.

“We’d like to get Jasper back in our side,” Hinkley said.

“Richmond do tend to play a smaller forward line and with the three or four talls we do have down there at the moment, it’s probably one too many for Richmond.

The huge clash against the Tigers starts at 7.20pm (ACST) at Adelaide Oval - the first of three blockbuster time slots in a row for Port.

The Magpies will welcome back Aidyn Johnson, Todd Marshall and Joe Atley from injury, while Jack Hombsch will return to the SANFL.

Jasper Pittard has been elevated to the AFL, while Jack Strange (omitted) and Sam Hayes (knee) are out of the side that lost to South Adelaide by 35 points last Sunday.

Port takes on Central District at My Money House Oval on Saturday, June 9 from 2.10pm, while the reserves begin at 11.30am.
