Nathan Wilson was a late withdrawal against the Lions and could be a welcome inclusion to Justin Longmuir's backline.

FREMANTLE could welcome back star forward Jesse Hogan for Sunday evening’s clash against Port Adelaide on the Gold Coast.

The Dockers will be forced into at least one change, with ruckman Sean Darcy to miss with a knee injury, and that opens the door for Hogan to play his first game of the season.

Dockers coach Justin Longmuir in a radio interview on Wednesday said that Hogan could come in to play up forward, freeing Rory Lobb up to move into the ruck.

Defender Nathan Wilson, who was a late withdrawal before the loss to Brisbane last week, will need to prove his fitness to resume, and that might mean last week’s debutant Hayden Young could drop out – despite being nominated for Mark of the Year in his first game.

Cam McCarthy is a chance to return after he collapsed at training and was subsequently diagnosed with epilepsy. The strong forward has returned to training and is being closely monitored.

After consecutive narrow losses (by six points to Essendon and 12 to Brisbane), the Dockers have shown they will be tough to beat in 2020.

Fremantle will name its squad for Sunday evening’s game on Thursday evening.
