ESSENDON ruckman Paddy Ryder has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Port Adelaide after straining his calf at training on Wednesday.
Ryder has had scans and General Manager of Football Operations Paul Hamilton confirmed Ryder will miss the next three to four weeks.
“This is disappointing for Paddy, he’s been such a consistent performer for us this season, both in his role up forward and in the ruck.”
“We’re confident Paddy will work hard during his rehabilitation and we look forward to seeing him back out on the park as soon as possible.”
