Todd Marshall will be forced to spend some time on the sidelines after breaking his thumb against St Kilda at the weekend.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Todd Marshall is expected to miss six weeks of football after having surgery on a broken thumb.

Marshall suffered the injury to the thumb on his right hand during Saturday night’s loss to St Kilda.

The 21-year-old had surgery on Sunday.

The rest of Port Adelaide’s injury update will be released later on Monday.
