Dan Houston tries to break a Cam Guthrie tackle the last time Port Adelaide met Geelong at Adelaide Oval.

PORT ADELAIDE’s Round 12 fixture against Geelong has been moved from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.

Port was due to face the Cats at the Gabba on Friday 14 August from 7:50pm AEST / 7:20pm ACST.

Instead, the AFL has announced the game will be moved to Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast with first bounce to remain at the same time.

It is good news for Port Adelaide, which boasts an unbeaten record at Metricon, having won all nine of its previous games there against the likes of the Gold Coast (six wins), Fremantle, West Coast and Greater Western Sydney.

That record includes four wins at the venue this season.
