Port Adelaide's supporters voted Xavier Duursma as their best performer on a tough night in Perth.

YOUNG wingman Xavier Duursma has received the fans' vote as Port Adelaide's best performer against West Coast on Saturday night.

It was a difficult evening for the Power, who went down by 37 points to the Eagles in Perth, succumbing to the club's first loss of 2021.

However, Duursma caught the supporters eye on an otherwise dirty day, gathering 21 disposals (eight contested) and applying 13 pressure acts at Optus Stadium.

On a night without many winners, Port's new no.7 ran out the game with the typical grit supporters have come to expect from the 20-year-old.

Duursma's performance vaults him to third on the Fans MG MVP leaderboard, just one vote shy of equal leaders Travis Boak and Zak Butters.

Karl Amon finished second in the weekly voting after collecting 23 touches and leading Port for marks (eight) and metres gained (510m) against the Eagles.

Rounding out the votes this week were Dan Houston (3rd), Robbie Gray (4th) and Travis Boak (5th).

This week Port Adelaide returns to Adelaide Oval for a blockbuster Preliminary Final rematch with reigning premiers Richmond on Friday night.

Round 3 MG MVP votes:

  • Xavier Duursma (5 points)
  • Karl Amon (4 points)
  • Dan Houston (3 points)
  • Robbie Gray (2 points)
  • Travis Boak (1 point)
