TAPS is thrilled to announce it has entered into a partnership with the Port Adelaide Football Club to engage the community in future Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities.

Currently TAPS employs over 420 Apprentices and Trainees who are placed across more than 130 Host Employers throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory.

A crucial part of this partnership is TAPS’ involvement with the Careers Expo at Port Adelaide’s flagship Indigenous Program, the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup. This year the program was attended by more than 500 students. TAPS was able to connect with the students and provide them with guidance and insights as they seek out future employment.

Luke Walsh, TAPS CEO stated “Aligning the TAPS brand with Port Adelaide Football Club made sense given its outstanding community engagement programs. We’re looking forward to working with the team at the Power to grow the career opportunities available for young people in South Australia and the Northern Territory.”

Port Adelaide CEO Matthew Richardson welcomed the partnership.

“Our community programs are first and foremost about engaging with students and encouraging them to attend and complete their schooling but we also want them to have pathways into future careers and TAPS will assist with that,” Mr Richardson said.

“We welcome TAPS to the Port Adelaide family and look forward to seeing the students in our programs benefit from the relationship.”
