Balyn O’Brien is a wiry dogged defender, selected in the 2026 pre-season supplemental period. Known for his athleticism and toughness, the 19-year-old featured six times for Norwood’s league side in the SANFL, including three finals. He was also part of South Australia’s under 18 championship winning side, playing every possible game.
Having made his debut in 2026, O'Brien has a number of senior games under his belt and is rapidly growing in confidence. With more opportunity on the horizon, the young defender will work toward solidifying himself in Josh Carr's backline.
