Coming to Port Adelaide as a promising midfielder via the 2016 National Draft, Willem Drew is one of the Power's emerging crop of young guns who is coming off a breakout year. Originally from North Ballarat, he’s shown his ability to play on the inside or outside and as a shutdown midfielder when needed.

Renowned for his decision making under pressure, Drew’s hard work and resilience has seen him become an integral part of Port Adelaide's midfield brigade. Playing all 25 of Port Adelaide's games in 2023, Drew has continued his ascent and shows no signs of slowing down.

Drew has well and truly established himself in Port Adelaide's midfield and quickly made a name for himself as one of the competition's premier defensive on-ballers. Such is his willingness to play his role and put the team first, he was recognised at the club's best and fairest after being award the Fos Williams Medal, which is awarded to the Best Team Man, as voted by the players.

Part of Port Adelaide's leadership group alongside Sam Powell-Pepper and Dan Houston, Drew supports captain Connor Rozee and vice-captain Zak Butters in leading the side on and off the field.
