Entering his third season at Alberton, Kane Farrell was challenged to add more depth to his game in order to break into Port Adelaide’s best 22.
Farrell’s greatest strengths are well-known. An elite user of the football, his penetrating left foot is among the best kicks in the entire AFL and he proved himself deadly in front of goals, slotting 17.5 through his first 12 games. Many will remember his three first quarter Showdown goals in just his second game.
However, the 21-year-old was slated for a move higher up the ground in 2020 and it was on the wing that his booming left foot was unlocked as an even greater weapon. He added 11 games for the season, almost doubling his career total and will be pushing to lock down his place in the side in 2021.
