Midfielder Will Lorenz’s name was called with pick 57 in the 2023 AFL National Draft. The young talent has shown versatility in the way he can play half-forward or push higher up on the ground on the wing.
Lorenz quickly impressed in the SANFL, demonstrating excellent ball use and decision making in a young midfield where he averaged 20.6 disposals and three tackles. His consistency was quickly rewarded with an AFL debut, featuring a handful of times at senior level since.
Coming from a strong footballing family and fresh off signing a new contract, Lorenz will look to continue his exciting trajectory in 2026 and find his place in a rising Port Adelaide side.

Lachie Charleson, Tom Anastasopolous, Will Lorenz and Xavier Walsh speak to the media following their first day at the club.
The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
