A silky midfielder/forward known for his running skills, Christian Moraes was drafted with pick 38 in the 2024 National Draft. His ability to find the footy and impact games both offensively and defensively saw the 18-year-old awarded joint runner-up in the Eastern Ranges best and fairest. Additionally, Moraes was a key contributor to Victoria Metro’s National Championship winning side.
Moraes made his AFL debut in 2025 and played a total of 14 games on the year, impressing the Port Adelaide faithful with his poise and unselfishness. He earned himself the Gavin Wanganeen Award at the 2025 Best & Fairest, recognised as the club's best-performing player under 21 that year. Having signed a contract extension keeping him at Alberton until at least the end of 2027, Moraes can continue his ascent knowing he has the full faith of the club behind him.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
