Taken with pick 13 in the 2024 Rookie Draft, Tom Cochrane is a mid/forward who boasts good hands and stoppage craft. Starring in the Central Districts under-18 side, the 19-year-old is the son of former Port Adelaide player Stuart Cochrane.
He's noted as a player who can win his own ball in the contest and has power to break from traffic and the kicking skills to finish his work inside 50.
Cochrane made his AFL debut in early 2025 after a string of impressive SANFL performances, and immediately made an impact at the higher level. Having signed a contract extension until at least the end of 2027, he'll look to keep developing his football skills and experience more senior football.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
