A skilled aerial presence, Julia Teakle brings both height and finesse to Port Adelaide’s front half. Originally hailing from Western Australia, she was a consistent performer for Northampton in the Great Northern Football League in her earlier years, earning two league best and fairest titles in that time. She made her AFLW debut in 2022 and has grown exponentially since then, emerging as one of Port Adelaide's most talented forwards.
Equally capable at ground level, she combines footy IQ and finesse to create opportunities and impact games in multiple ways. She also possesses impressive leadership qualities for her age, moving into the position of vice-captain ahead of the 2025 season.
Honours
- Vice-captain (2025-present)
- Coaches' Award (2023)
- AFLPA 22under22 (2024)

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
