PORT ADELAIDE has named a trio of welcome returns to face Glenelg as it fights to keep its SANFL Finals chances alive in the final match of the minor rounds.

Defenders Hamish Hartlett and Lachie Jones have been cleared of respective knee and ankle issues, while high-flying forward Mitch Georgiades will resume from the hamstring complaint that saw him miss the Power's first week of AFL Finals action.

Midfield bull Sam Powell-Pepper will also be given the opportunity to press his case for Preliminary Final selection after coming on as the medical substitute against Geelong, having been named on the ball against the Bays.

The Magpies currently sit in seventh on the SANFL ladder and will require several results to go their way in order to qualify for major round action.

A win is a necessity before a complicated formula of South Adelaide and Sturt wins or loses as well as percentage boosting comes into the mix.

It will be no mean feat either with this weekend's opponent Glenelg searching for a final win to secure an undefeated home and away season - something that hasn't been accomplished since Port Adelaide ran the gauntlet in 1914.

First bounce at Alberton Oval is at 2:10pm on Saturday.
