Both Jonas and Wines are on track to play their 200th AFL game in season 2022.

PORT ADELAIDE captain Tom Jonas and Brownlow Medallist Ollie Wines headline a list of players set to reach significant milestones in 2022.

Both Jonas and Wines are on track to play their 200th AFL game, should they play at least 18 games.

The pair celebrated their 150th game milestones in the same game against Richmond in 2020.

Jonas and Wines will join an illustrious list if they get to 200. Only nine players have played 200 games for the club in the AFL.

Forward Charlie Dixon could also get to 200 in 2022 but he will need to play every game and rely on the club playing at least one final, with 23 games required to reach the milestone.

Defenders Trent McKenzie and Darcy Byrne-Jones and ruckman Scott Lycett are each closing in on 150 AFL games. McKenzie needs 11 games to reach the milestone while Byrne-Jones (21) and Lycett (22) could get there late in the season.

Trent McKenzie needs to play 11 games in 2022 to reach the 150 game milestone.

Ryan Burton, Orazio Fantasia, Sam Powell-Pepper and Aliir Aliir are each fast approaching 100 AFL games while Zak Butters and Xavier Duursma are among five players nearing their 50.

Burton, McKenzie and Aliir are each a chance of playing 50 club games as well in 2022 with Burton currently having played 48, McKenzie 33 and Aliir 24.

GOALS

Charlie Dixon is closing in on 300 AFL goals, needing just six more to reach the milestone. He booted 94 of those while playing at the Gold Coast and his other 200 for Port Adelaide – becoming just the eighth player to boot 200 AFL goals for the club.

Charlie Dixon is closing in on 300 AFL goals in 2022.

Greater Western Sydney recruit Jeremy Finlayson needs 10 more goals to reach 100 at AFL level.

Travis Boak is 13 goals away from 200, ranking him 10th overall goalscorer for the club at AFL level behind Peter Burgoyne. Boak can overtake Burgoyne with seven more goals in 2022, while Ollie Wines needs 19 goals to take him to 100. Only 18 other players have done that before at Port Adelaide in the AFL.

Robbie Gray will be looking to again narrow the gap on the club’s all-time leading goal kicker Warren Tredrea, although he’ll need a few big seasons to catch the former skipper.

Gray booted his 350th goal in 2021 and sits on 353 heading into 2022.
