The winner will receive a trophy named in Ebert’s honour, following his sad passing in November to cancer.

Ebert is a legend of South Australian football and as well as being Port Adelaide’s club games record holder, he is a six-time best and fairest and won a record four Magarey Medals.

Born in Berri, he played his junior football at Loxton and senior football for Waikerie before shifting to Alberton.

It is fitting then that Loxton and Waikerie will do battle in a curtain raiser to Port Adelaide’s game against the Bloods.

As this is not a Port Adelaide home game, travelling members will be required to purchase a ticket.

Members with away SANFL game have access using their membership with the event to become active via mobile ticketing.

The game between West Adelaide and Port Adelaide will get underway at Loxton Oval from 2:10pm.
