Port Adelaide has secured the futures of three versatile talents, with Ella Boag, Molly Brooksby and Emily Elkington signing two-year contract extensions to remain at Alberton until at least the end of the 2028 AFLW season.

The trio have each made valuable contributions to the club, with Boag and Brooksby continuing to develop into important members of the side, while Elkington has made an immediate impression since joining Port Adelaide ahead of the 2026 season.

Head of AFLW Dan Merrett said the extensions reflected the club’s confidence in the group and its commitment to building a strong list for the future.

“It's exciting to have Ella, Molly and Emily commit their futures to Port Adelaide for another two seasons,” Merrett said.

“They are three talented players who each bring something different to our program, and we're really pleased with the contributions they've made to the group.

“Ella and Molly have continued to grow as footballers since arriving at the club, and we've seen them establish themselves as reliable and consistent contributors at AFLW level.

“Emily came to us with an opportunity to make her mark and has done exactly that. Her competitiveness and pressure have been important additions to our forward line.

“We're looking forward to seeing all three continue to develop and play an important role in what we're building at Port Adelaide.”

Selected with pick 31 in the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft, Boag has played 45 games since her debut and established herself as an important member of Port Adelaide's side.

The speedy winger provides valuable run and carry, averaging 12.4 disposals, 9.5 kicks and 3.1 tackles per game. Her development was recognised with the Coaches' Award in 2022 and Players' Player honour in 2025.

Brooksby arrived at Alberton through the Expansion U18 Talent Pathway Pre-Signing Period and has quickly become a dependable member of Port Adelaide's defence.

The versatile 20-year-old made her AFLW debut in 2024 and earned a Rising Star nomination in Round 5 of that season. She has since played 38 games, averaging 13.5 disposals, 10.2 kicks and 210 metres gained, while earning selection in the AFLPA 22under22 team in 2024 and 2025.

Elkington joined Port Adelaide as an injury replacement player ahead of the 2026 season, having previously spent time on West Coast's AFLW list and played in the VFLW for Carlton.

The 22-year-old quickly established herself in the side, playing almost every game of the season and showcasing her competitiveness, tackling ability and pressure around the ball.

Across the 2026 season, Elkington averaged 6.7 disposals and 4.8 tackles, with her defensive pressure proving a valuable addition to the Power's forward line.

The trio’s re-signings provide further stability to Port Adelaide's AFLW list, following a series of long-term commitments from senior players Matilda Scholz, Abbey Dowrick, Ash Woodland, Shineah Goody, Ella Heads and Teagan Germech, who have all recently re-signed with the club.
