Wines gathered game-highs for disposals, score involvements and clearances against the Kangaroos.

OLLIE WINES has been voted by Port Adelaide's supporters as their best on ground from Saturday’s win over North Melbourne in Bellerive.

The stand-in captain gathered game-highs for disposals (32), score involvements (12) and clearances (nine).

Wines’ clinical performance saw him dominate both in the contest and around the ground, with the midfielder finishing the match with 16 contested possessions to go along with two goals.

He receives the maximum five votes for the first time this season, elevating himself onto the MG MVP Leaderboard.

Also catching the eye of the fans was Sam Powell-Pepper who racked up 23 disposals, 13 contested possessions and 7 score involvements – topped off by a goal.

Powell-Pepper has now received votes for the fifth consecutive round, reflective of his strong performances in what’s shaping up to be a career-best year for the bullish midfielder/forward.

This week’s votes have him jump into first place on the leaderboard – now one point ahead of midfielder Travis Boak nine rounds into the home-and-away season.

Rounding out the votes for this week were Todd Marshall, Connor Rozee and Zak Butters.

This weekend Port Adelaide travel to Geelong to face the Cats at the GHMBA Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
