IN: Burgoyne

OUT: Evans (omitted), McKenzie (injured)

JASE Burgoyne will return to AFL action this Saturday as Port Adelaide takes on Collingwood at the MCG.

Small defender Burgoyne takes the place of the injured Trent McKenzie, who was ruled out earlier in the week with a high-grade ankle sprain.

Burgoyne made his AFL debut in Round 16 last year and played eight games in his first season at the top level.

The side will remain largely intact after its 54-point win over Brisbane, with Travis Boak named as an emergency for the Round 2 clash, alongside Tom Clurey, Riley Bonner and Brynn Teakle.

The club veteran has bounced back from a rib injury sustained in pre-season and could enjoy possible game time through the tactical substitute rule, which can be activated for any purpose at the discretion of the club to replace a starting player.

Last week’s club debutants Jason Horne-Francis and Junior Rioli remain in the side, however Round 1 tactical substitute Francis Evans has been omitted for Round 2.

The tactical substitute will be named from among the emergencies one hour before the 1:15pm (ACDT) first bounce.
