LAST WEEK’S SUB: J Mead

Yartapuulti has named an extended squad for its second and final game of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, taking on Richmond this Sunday.

Currently on seven-match winning streak, the Power is likely to welcome small forward Junior Rioli back from suspension, but will be without captain Tom Jonas, who is serving a one-match ban.

Defender Jase Burgoyne, utility Lachie Jones and young midfielder Hugh Jackson have all been added to the eight-player interchange bench.

If Jackson is selected in the final team (announced at 4:30pm ACST Friday), the 2021 draftee and native South Australian will play his first game at AFL level.

Todd Marshall and Charlie Dixon have been deemed unavailable for selection, with both players still recovering from injury.

Dixon is continuing to rehabilitate a quad strain, while Marshall has not yet been cleared from concussion protocols, after suffering a head knock during the North Melbourne match in Round 9.

AFL emergencies not required on Sunday will be allowed to play in Saturday’s SANFL match against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

The tactical substitute will be selected from among the emergencies and announced one hour before the first bounce at 12:40pm ACST.
