JEREMY FINLAYSON will play his 100th AFL game on Saturday night against the Gold Coast Suns.

After beginning his career on the Greater Western Sydney list, the agile big man shifted to Port Adelaide ahead of the 2022 season and has fitted perfectly into the forward line.

Here are some numbers to help you impress your friends about the 27-year-old’s career so far:

31 – Finlayson made his name in 66 games with the Giants wearing the number 31 guernsey. He booted 90 goals in his time in the Harbour City.

80 – Finlayson is officially credited with being the 80th player to pull on a Giants guernsey in the AFL. His debut came in a draw against Geelong in Round 15 of 2017 when he suffered a knee injury in what was his only AFL game that season.

3 – Finlayson has played in three draws – all during his time at GWS.

199 – Finlayson was the 199th player to represent Port Adelaide at AFL level. His club debut came in Round 1, 2022 in a loss to Brisbane.

60.1 – Finlayson has a 60.1% winning record overall, which rises to 67% if considering only his 33 games at Port Adelaide.

140 – Finlayson has kicked 140 goals in his 99 games so far. His best return in a single season was 44 goals in 23 games in the 2019 season – a Grand Final year for GWS. He has booted a career-best five goals in six separate games including twice this year.

2 – Finlayson received two Brownlow votes in the 2021 season after booting five goals for the Giants against Carlton. He has only ever polled one other vote, this time playing for Port against Essendon in 2022.

21 – Saturday night’s game will be Finlayson’s 21st at Adelaide Oval. He has a 15-6 win-loss record at the venue. The only venue he has played more games at is the Sydney Showground, where he has played 22 matches for a 16-1-5 win-draw-loss record.

5 - In five games against Saturday’s opponent Gold Coast, Finlayson has only tasted defeat once.

0 – The only side Finlayson has never lost to is his former side Greater Western Sydney. He has only faced the Giants once in Port Adelaide colours for one win.

1000 – Finlayson has recorded exactly 1000 AFL Fantasy points so far in 2023 at an average of 76.9.
