IN: J De Melo, M Keryk, M Moloney, K Pope

OUT: J Teakle (injured)

PORT ADELAIDE has named an extended team for its first interstate clash of the 2023 NAB AFLW season, against St Kilda on Sunday.

Maria Moloney comes in after serving a two-match suspension and recovering from an ankle sprain sustained during match simulation.

Moloney’s strength and experience around the contest will be welcomed back to the side, with the 28-year-old set to nicely complement a relatively young midfield group.

Maddy Keryk has been named on the extended bench, so is a chance to play her first game in Power colours, with the experienced defender joining the club during the priority signing period.

Dynamic mid-forward Katelyn Pope could also make her club debut after impressing coaches throughout pre-season.

Julia Teakle is unavailable for selection with imaging confirming the tall forward has a stress reaction in her foot. Teakle is likely to miss two to four weeks of football while she recovers.

The last time the two sides met was in Round 9 of last year, with the Saints clinching a two-point win in a thriller.

The final team of 21 will be named at 4:30pm ACST on Friday afternoon.

Sunday’s game gets under way at 12:35pm ACST / 1:05pm AEST and can be watched live on 7, Fox Footy and Kayo.
