IN: M Keryk

OUT: M MacLachlan (omitted)

PORT ADELAIDE recruit Maddy Keryk will make her club debut this Saturday, facing off against her former side Geelong at Alberton Oval.

The experienced defender landed at the Power in a trade prior to the 2023 NAB AFLW season after playing a combined 47 games between Carlton and Geelong.

As one of the Blues’ inaugural co-vice-captains in 2017, Keryk also went on to be included in the leadership group for two of her five years at the Cats.

Defender Maggie MacLachlan comes out of the side, while last weekend’s club debutant Katelyn Pope has retained her spot in the 21.

Yasmin Duursma, Jade De Melo and Litonya Cockatoo-Motlap have been named emergencies.

Geelong has shown strong form over the last three weeks, recording two wins, while the Power is searching for back-to-back victories after defeating St Kilda at RSEA Park on Sunday.

Senior coach Lauren Arnell will mark a unique milestone of her own this weekend – it will be the 50th AFLW game she has participated in as either a player or coach.

Saturday’s game gets under way at 12:35pm ACST and can be watched live on 7 Mate, Fox Footy and Kayo.

With perfect weather and plenty going on around the ground, it's set to be a fantastic day out at Alberton. Get your tickets for the match here.
