PORT ADELAIDE has been forced to make two changes ahead of Showdown LV this Thursday night.
Sam Powell-Pepper (knee) and Aliir Aliir (concussion) have come out of the side after last week’s win over St Kilda, while Jed McEntee and Ryan Burton will return.
McEntee and Burton will be fresh and raring to go, with the pair held back from playing in Saturday’s SANFL game to account for the short break between matches.
Connor Rozee will play in his first Showdown as captain, with the skipper passing a final fitness test on Wednesday following a minor hamstring concern.
The ledger between Port Adelaide and Adelaide is currently drawn at 27 apiece, with the Crows taking bragging rights in both Showdowns last year.
The tactical substitute will be announced an hour before the first bounce from the interchange bench, which comprises Burton, McEntee, Jase Burgoyne, Mitch Georgiades and Jackson Mead.
Jeremy Finlayson is available for selection after serving a three-match suspension and has been named as an emergency alongside Dante Visentini and Francis Evans.
Thursday’s game against the Crows will take place at Adelaide Oval from 7pm ACST, following the SANFL Showdown from 3:20pm ACST.
