GWS midfielder Jacob Wehr has informed Port Adelaide of his want to join the club as an unrestricted free agent.
Statement attributable to Port Adelaide List Manager Jason Cripps:
"We're delighted that Jacob has chosen Port Adelaide as the club where he wants to continue his AFL career.
"As an unrestricted free agent, Jacob will be entitled to accept our offer once it's formally submitted during the free agency window in October.
"Jacob is an outstanding person who we believe will add valuable depth to our list and complement our existing midfield group.
"With the official player movement period still a month away, we will not be making any further comment on this matter at this time."
