Port Adelaide’s Lauren Young will be available for selection ahead of the Round 6 clash with Geelong at Alberton on Saturday.
The talented tall has endured an extended stint on the sidelines, first recovering from an ACL injury and more recently working through protocols after sustaining a concussion at training.
Described as the ‘ultimate utility player’ with an impressive resume, she is now on track to make her long-awaited AFLW debut in front of a home crowd at Alberton.
In further good news, Young could be joined by veteran Janelle Cuthbertson, who is also available for selection.
Cuthbertson has overcome a ruptured ACL sustained in Round 2 of the 2024 season and more recently managed a stress response in her foot.
Port Adelaide will confirm its team for Saturday’s home clash with the Cats on Thursday at 5:50pm ACST.
