Retired Port Adelaide great and club games-record holder Travis Boak’s number 10 guernsey will be left vacant for the 2026 season.
The gesture honours one of the greatest players to ever play the game, with 387 appearances at AFL level and a long list of personal accolades to his name.
Boak wore the number 10 for 13 of his 19 years at the Power, only replacing it with the number 1 during his six seasons of captaincy.
He retired as one of the great players in Port Adelaide’s 155 year history.
Port Adelaide CEO Matthew Richardson said the iconic no.10 guernsey was synonymous with Boak.
“In recognition of Travis’ extraordinary contribution to our club across 19 seasons, we will retire his number 10 guernsey for a period of time.
"This allows us to appropriately acknowledge his legacy and reflect on an incredible career which was full of resilience and loyalty to the Port Adelaide Football Club.”
Several Port Adelaide players will wear new jumper numbers in 2026, while three fresh faces have chosen their respective numbers at their new club.
Former GWS Giant Jacob Wehr will don the number 15, which previously belonged to retired small forward Willie Rioli, while Carlton recruit Corey Durdin will wear the 44.
Will Brodie, who has made the move from Fremantle, will wear 23, while second-year player Tom Cochrane will take his dad Stuart’s old number 26.
Jackson Mead moves up the order to take number 3, and mid-season draftees Ewan Mackinlay (31) and Harrison Ramm (32) have both moved from the 40s into the 30s.
Second-year player Christian Moraes, who won Port Adelaide’s best first year player award in 2025, will wear number 11.
Port Adelaide’s first to fourth year players officially begin pre-season training on Monday.
