Port Adelaide forward Mitch Georgiades has been selected to represent Western Australia in the 2026 AAMI AFL Origin match.
Taking place on Saturday, February 14 at Optus Stadium, Western Australia will host Victoria in the first AFL Origin game since 1999.
Georgiades, the Power's back-to-back leading goalkicker, is eligible for selection based on his junior club location from which he was drafted.
Growing up in Perth, Georgiades played his junior football with Marist Junior Football Club before being selected by Port Adelaide with pick 18 in the 2018 AFL Draft.
The 23-year-old is among the latest group of Western Australians to be unveiled for the special pre-season game, joining Patrick Cripps, Aaron Naughton, Tom Barrass, Shai Bolton and Chad Warner.
Georgiades enjoyed a career-best season in 2025, playing every possible game and kicking 58 goals to claim his second consecutive leading goalkicker award. His dominant year also saw him finish runner-up in Port Adelaide's Best and Fairest and earn maiden All-Australian squad selection.
He'll line up against teammate Zak Butters, who was selected to represent Victoria last month.
The Western Australian team has been chosen by head coach Dean Cox and Chairman of Selectors Glen Jakovich.
