Port Adelaide has finalised its team for Round 1 against North Melbourne, with three players set to don the Power guernsey for the first time.

An AFL debut for 25-year-old rookie Jack Watkins was announced on Thursday, while club debutants Jacob Wehr and Corey Durdin will also take the field.

Dante Visentini has been given the nod as sole ruck, and 22-year-old mid-season draftee Ewan Mackinlay will make his second AFL appearance after an impressive body of work across the summer.

Esava Ratugolea has claimed a spot in the backline, alongside returning favourite Todd Marshall, who has recovered from a year out with a ruptured achilles.

Jordon Sweet, Jackson Mead and Jack Lukosius have been named emergencies, with coach Josh Carr mentioning on Thursday that Lukosius is looking for ‘continuity and consistency’ in his body after an interrupted few weeks.

Players not travelling to Melbourne for Sunday’s game will play in a SANFL trial match from 10am Saturday at Elizabeth Oval against West Adelaide.

Sunday’s game will begin at 12:40pm Adelaide time, and the match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Channel 7 and Kayo.
