PORT ADELAIDE hosts Sydney at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon in a crucial Round 21 clash.

Port is coming off the back of a stunning 59-point victory over Essendon on the road last weekend, while the Swans lost a thriller to Greater Western Sydney by two points at GIANTS Stadium.

Port currently sits ninth on the AFL ladder - four points and a small amount of percentage behind Adelaide, while the Swans are 15th with a 6-13 win-loss record.

The Power will take an unchanged line-up in to Saturday’s game, with the Swans making two changes at the selection table.

Co-captain Dane Rampe returns, while academy product James Bell will make his AFL debut. Kieren Jack and James Rose have both been omitted for the trip to South Australia.

The two sides haven’t met since Round 2 last year, where the Power shocked the Swans by 23 points at the SCG.

Sydney led the contest early and took a 14-point advantage into the main break, before a seven-goal to two third term sparked the visitors.

The Power then outscored the home side in the final quarter to run out four-goal winners in front 34,636 people at the SCG.

It was the old firm that got the job done in the wet for Ken Hinkley’s men, with Ollie Wines (35 disposals and a goal), Justin Westhoff (27 touches), Robbie Gray (26 and a goal) and Travis Boak (22 and two goals) ensuring the Power took home the four premiership points.

Todd Marshall led the way in the forward half, kicking three goals from his 12 touches.

Josh Kennedy was the best for John Longmire’s men, collecting 33 disposals, four tackles and three marks, while Lance Franklin booted four goals.

Sydney has had the wood over the Power throughout history, winning 20 of the 29 encounters between the two sides.

The Swans have also won three out of the last five, but the Power has won the previous two matches by an average of 25 points.

This will be the first time the two sides will meet at Adelaide Oval since Round 2, 2015 - with the previous four clashes all taking place at the SCG.
